So whats the racers preference between aluminum and steel plates in a thumper MX bike, we ride tracks and race, occasional tree ride. I know the weight is the major difference, does the aluminum clutch preform better, besides letting the engine rev quicker?
I tend to think I should stick with the aluminum plates, we have 1 1/2 seasons on the stock clutch and it just started slipping.
