Congrats on the new bike! They're awesome!
As far as the hot start goes, I THINK it leans the jetting. Basically if the motor is warm, pull the hot start in and hold it, then kick until the bike fires up (usually 1-3 kicks), then release the hot start. It's pretty simple. The owners manual will take you through the drill too, it's a really good manual.
Be sure to check the spokes after the first three or four rides, they'll all loosen up---and use the spoke wrench you get with the bike, the nipples are really soft aluminum and will deform easily. Have fun!
