difference between a 99 and 04 cr 125?

I'm looking to buy a newer motor for my 99 cr. The motor i'm looking at right now is an 04, I noticed the bolt pattern on the 04 had 6 compared to 4 on the intake? What are the differences between the two motors? Are the motor mounts the same?

Nope.. they aren't

Yeah, too much was changed over those years..

It won't fit without serious modifications. Unless you are a good tig welder, I wouldn't even think about it.
