Can someone tell me if there is a difference in the valving of the front forks of these two bikes ('00 and '03 YZ250). I have a '00 and have recently replaced my front fork and rear shock springs with those from an '03. The stock one were the rate I needed as the aftermarket ones I had were too stiff.

My brother has an '03 and I have set our clickers and everything to the exact same settings. However his bike feels better in the front than mine. It seems to be smoother and plusher. So, I am thinking that there must be a difference in the valving or something since everything else in vitually the same.

Again, any help is appreciated.

when yamaha changed to the new frame in 02, they also changed the design of the fork piston.

i am sure the valving between00-01 are pretty similar and 02-03 are similar, but they do tend to change something each year.

Thanks, I guess there is nothing else I can do short of having them re-done. It is a shame because my brothers stock bike handles perfect for me.
