So, I was participating in some post-Christmas hoonery around my neighborhood on my WR450 and had a low speed low side :bang: . I wheeled the bike home and put it on a stand.

The bike clicks easily into every gear except first. To get into first, it requires holding down the shifter while spinning the rear wheel until it clicks into place. I haven't fired the bike up for fear that something is damaged. Any thoughts? Would a bent shift fork still allow me to eventually get into gear?

does it feel ike the clutch was working or what
your clutch adjustment is probably off, or ther is a problem with your tranny gears or shifting forks for first gear but i would definately check out the clutch adjustment because a bike can seem to shift fine without using the clutch while its moving but from a dead stop if the clutch is not fully disengaging it will be hard to shift into any gear.
Start your bike and pull in the clutch then try to shift into second. If it does the same thing then back out your clutch adjustment until it works properly.
