Congrats Kiwi. Enjoy the drive up to Reno - get on I-5, set the cruise control and you'll never slow down:) You may not even have to stop for fuel.... Hope your bladder is good for ~500 miles.

You should feel good about your choice!!!

I'm on my 2nd Dodge Deisel 96' and 00'.and our farm had a 93'. I've yet to have a problem with all three trucks. (They 93 was a tad uncomfortable after 5 hours of driving though)
We have ours for my wife, she pulls about 10,000 pounds worth of horses/trailer/hay/tack about 10-12 times during the summer show season across the state. I doubt you'll ever hear her complain with 4500'.

I only wish they had the full size crew cabs like the ford and chevy. Next year!

It's as if there aren't any hills anymore. Select 6th gear, engage cruise at 70 mph, end of story. Went 636 miles on first tank and still had 4.5 gallons = 20.8 mpg (and I wasn't babying it!).

Kiwi,
2wd or 4wd? What ring & pinion? I know what you mean about the lack of hills and just engage the cruise control. It's great isn't it?

NVR FNSH - 2WD, 3.54. I'm pretty sure it will pull redline in top gear 120+.

GSR - That's what we have Eddie for isn't it?
