Hey all, so i just picked up a cheap ($75) DT100 from craiglist. It's not running, but really doesn't need much. I just need to tie up the electrical odds and ends. To test for spark I am trying to bypass the wiring harness right now as it's a mess. According to the wiring diagrams I have looked at, with a points and condenser ignition system, i should be able to run a jumper from the condenser output to the ignition coil input and make spark. Can anyone confirm this or give me any pointers here? I tried it and nothing happened at all. I am getting voltage from the flywheel, I can measure with a multimeter if anyone knows the exact specs. Thanks,
-Ian

Ok so I tested my coil with a 12V dc source and it's definitely good. I used a multimeter to test my voltage from the points and I am only peaking about 3 volts. Does this mean I need new points/condenser? Should I be getting about 12v from the points? -Ian
