My buddy has a 2000 300 exc that just quit sparking!
He has tried all of the obvious things like plug, connections, kill switch, plug wire,ect....He even swapped CDI units off of a known good unit.
Is there a test that can be performed on the stator and or the little black pickup located outside the flywheel??
We are stumped and its damned expensive to replace the stator hoping thats the problem.
THANKS GUYS

you can test a stator with an ohmeter but im not sure of the resistance
or witch wires you test

Yes, test with ohmmeter i guess it shld read around 1 ohm. Is there a pulsemagnet involved with that kind of bike? Maybe there is a loose connection there? I figure no pulse no spark.

O sorry i just reread things. you mention the pulse activator. I think you can check pulse by turning the flywheel along side it and see with ohm if there occurs a resistance. The pulse activator is just a switch activated by a magnet field.
