Issue: 2002 KDX 220 runs VERY raspy and looses all power when loaded up.

It all started around the same time that I added a new pipe. Then came the new Boyesen Power Reeds. I thought I just had some simple jetting problems with the new aftermarket add ons. After multiple jetting, oil, needle, and needle clip position changes I drug it back to the dealership for help. They called today to say that it has nothing to do with carburetion, and is definitely electrical. Unfortunately they cannot find the problem.

If this is truly an electrical problem, does anyone out there have any ideas or experience. BTW, the dealer changed out the CDI and that didn't help. I have also removed the front and rear lights. Could water have gotten into the old contacts and shorted something out?

Sounds like a bad ground to me.

Look for a disconnected ground wire. Maybe you unhooked the main wiring harness ground when you took off your lighting.
