I have a pickup, but use a Versahauler. Best investment I've ever made. I have never had to have help loading her up.

My wife will help out if she see's this old fart working too hard to load that Husky. Guess she wants to keep me around a little longer.

Actually I do realise after a few years of working along side of her, that she's a better mechanic than I am. I've got more experience and general knowledge, but when something happens where neither one of us has and experience, she comes up with a working solution faster. We have done some really interesting mechanical progects together. Like rebuilding an old deisel out of my road grader I once had. She is a truely amazing person. I feel really lucky.

Even this weekend she pitched in when I had to pull a few injectors out of my farm tractor. Had a few quirky issues to work around as the seal on one injector had blown out. The injector was carboned in.(International 1066 tractor with a 414 motor) With a little time we figured out how to get it out intact....now if she would only enjoy riding motorcycles as much as those HORSES!:debil:

Occasionally i will help Wendy load the bikes into the truck or onto the trailer. Usually i have them loaded before she ever gets out there to help.

On the bright side - she always packs the clothes & food! :)

When we come home from a week-end of riding it is usually late at night. I unload the bikes into the garage & Wendy always washes them the next morning. That's true love (for her bike) :ugg:

I just get my girl to steady the loading ramp, and hold the flashlight if needed. I use my stand as a step-up onto or off of my tailgate. Never had a problem one.

Since we went to the tail gate ramp trailers, my wife is pushing the bikes up the ramp, loading gear and patiently moving my arms and fingers to remove boots and gear so "we can go home after this race sometime today" I on the otherhand remain motionless in the lawnchair with erratic heartbeat mumbling about how fast i used to be.
The wife will not move a motorcycle anywhere close to a pick up after a one time mistake (by me)of yelling at her to"not lean a 5000 bike on a 30000 truck" When she heard the prices of eah of my toys was another story!!
Happily married for 16 years btw:cool:

She never helps me with loading up my bike, but she once helped pushing the bike back into the real world after i dipped it into a mud/water hole.
Man, was that muddy!

This isn't a loading story but it is true. In 1993 I broke both legs, tore up my knees and shattered my left anke. I couldn't and didn't walk for quite some time(4 months). 2 months into the deal, i decided that I needed to make sure my bike still worked...it came thru unscathed, go figure. Anyway, I had my wife push me down a hill to bump start my bike. It didn't fire. She had to push my bike up the hill and bring my crutches back down. I apologized all the way back up and managed to talk her into pushing me again. She said if the bike didn't start that i was staying at the bottom of the hill with the bike! Needless to say, it fired and I got to ride for a few minutes.

You want to start something good with the wife? Next time she is telling you how wrong you are for something, breakout the story of Adam and Eve . Then proceed to tell her that throughout the ages even right here in the Bible that the only thing a man does wrong is listen to a woman!!!!Hope she has a good sense of humor!Mine didn't
If the garage had a bathroom in it I would move
