The only reason I'm posting this is because I just stopped laughing after seeing XRpredator's signature on another thread...

What are your favorite Christmas movies, cartoons, specials, etc?

1. It's a Wonderful Life (obviously)
2. A Christmas Story
3. R the RNR

Anyone else look forward to this time of the year for the quality entertainment?

A good Christmas Vacation quote from Cousin Eddy:
"That there's a RV, Clark. Now don't go gettin' too attached to it, 'cause it's leavin' with us next month!"
or from the senile old Aunt:
"Oh dear. Did I break wind again?"

I saw it last Thanksgiving. We were visiting the wife's bro in Plano, took all the kiddies.

I thought it was not very good. It had some mildly entertaining parts. But, mostly it was just not in the Doc Seuss spirit. Too crude maybe. Since it is on video now, it is probably a must see.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Nester the Long Eared Christmas Donkey." ;)

I'll vote for the Christmas Story, because my 8 year son has been harassing me to let him get a bb gun for months. Every time I tell him, "You'll put your eye out kid" I secretly laugh to myself about it.

If you like Christmas Vacation, try to find a reprint of the original short story that ran in National Lampoon back in the late seventies. It is roll on the floor funny. (Oops, showing my age on that one)

I absolutely LOVE all the Rankin and Bass shows. They are the guys that do the claymation stuff like Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, and Santa Claus is coming to town. I think the claymation is the best! :) :) :)

Charlestown, IN
Barbara Dare w/ Rudolph in "Miricle on 42nd St."

Candy Cane, Misty Relm, and Tabatha Stevens in "Ho,Ho,Ho" (subtitled: "Jacks or better, trips to win")

Although quite popular, I found Ben Dover's "North Pole" a bit much.

I agree - I just finished watching 3 or 4 of those on the Family channel with my son. Gotta love 'em. I really like "A Year Without A Santa Claus" - the one with Heat Miser and Snow Miser!

Raging Rudolph-MadTV

A "slight" twist to the old 'R the RNR' show. A parody of "Goodfellas" and "The Godfather", using the Rudolph characters. Quite entertaining. Keep an eye out for it and record it because the first time I saw it I was laughing so hard I missed about 2/3 of it!

Favorite-"Charlie Brown".
