forks with streak marks?

i have a set of forks (oo rm125) that have lines, streaks on the inner tube and they are prone to constant leaking even with new seals etc. ive seen this on many tubes and are not sure what causes it.its not something u can feel but u can definetly see them. any ideas?

Do they go the full length of the tube?

pretty much, at least as far as the forks would compress.

Usually when I see this its from mud getting packed in the seals . Also those Leak proof seals might do this they rub the tubes real hard . checkk the bushings good also as maybe there is stuff stuck in them . Buff out the tubes with scotchbrite or really fine sandpaper unless theyre trick coated .

Would worn bushings contribute to this?

I would say worn bushes could leave those marks-ive seen plenty of forks with the streaks.
