Freaken sticker glue!!!!

What in the world is this stuff made of? It won't hold graphics on worth a crap, but you can't get the stuff off your plastic to put on new number backgrounds.:(

Any ideas on how to clean this stuff off my number plates and fenders?

I tried using 409 and stuff like that, but it seems to make the glue even stickier. I end up looking like a two year old with sticker boogers all over my fingers.:scream:

Try WD 40.

Carb cleaner works to but use it outside and be careful what you spray it on 'cuz it's nasty stuff. "Goof Off" works good too.

I have the ole WD-40 and the Carb cleaner. I'll give it a shot. Do you think the carb clearer will hurt the plastic.

I should have know the WD-40.

When I was a kid, I came home for football pratice with a broken finger. I told my dad and he said "spray some WD-40 on it and it'll be good as new.":confused:

If it's broke. WD-40 it.

WD will get it off with some "working it in". If you use it, be sure to clean your surfaces afterward with the 409 or widex to get rid of the oil residue from the WD. Carb cleaner will work wonders but generally tends to dull the plastic a bit from my experiences with it. I used it to get that gray out of white side plates where your boots rub. Works very well for that, too.

WD40 works best if you let it soak in for about 5 minutes.

You could probably use some fine sand paper if you wanted. The idiot that was selling my bike wrote his asking price and phone number directly on the numberplate with a permanent marker. The sand paper got rid of it and didn't dull the finish too much.

LOL!! I didn't think the AMA allowed 10 to 14 digit numbers.;)

Try using nail polish remover. Just sneak it out of the house while the lil lady isn't looking.. Works for me. A hair dryer helps also..
