fuel cut off switch

Do you guys run the carb out of gas after each days ride?

I have a yz 426f, and my cousin has a yz 125.

We ride about once a week or so.

So, is it a good idea to turn the fuel switch off and run the bike till it dies, or just say screw it and leave it as is?

Unless I don't plan on riding for a few weeks I don't bother and have never had any problems. It can't hurt though.

I don't like running the motor out of fuel.. Although i have took off w/the petcock closed a time or 2 or 3 :laugh:

When I first got my bike I was weird about turning off my petcock everytime I parked it. Well I had a buddy who's bike wouldn't start one day down in a big valley. Took us forever to push it out and then we tried forever to start it. After about 20 minutes we realized...the idiot had his gas off. No one else bothered to check since it was the first thing we asked him. So we made fun for a while, and then pulled out. And wouldn't you know about 2 minutes later lol, I did the exact same thing, except I reached for the petcock right away.
