I took one of his 2-day courses in 1997. It was a waste of my time and money in my opinion. There were 15 students in the class which was way too many to really get any quality instruction and he really didn't have good control over the class. Just too many students to handle effectively. I ended up leaving a couple of hours early on Sunday because it just wasn't worth the time. I've spoken to other people that took his course and they had a similar outlook as mine. I've heard consistently that the Gary Semics course is much better from people that have had the opportunity to take both courses. I'm sure there must be people that have benefited from his instruction since he seems to have a pretty high demand for his courses, but I didn't think it was worth much.
Enrolled my son in one of Garys on the road classes this summer in Huntsville Al. We had two full days of riding and instruction. I feel it is the best money I have spent in supporting him in this sport. We had 25 riders and Gary did a great job and gave every rider his moneys worth. My son has been riding on and off since age 8 he in now 17 an dis racing MX. I feel he is a better and safer rider after attending Garys school. :D
