when i turn my gas on i get a steady flow of gas from my overflow line from the carb.even while riding it still leaks but it does stop at some point. any thoughts on what to look for and any remedies? thanks.

know im no mechanic by any means, but what i think your problem is your float boll is getting stuck not sealing it off all the way so gas is still flowing into the boll filling up and over flowing. The best and easyist fix for this would to just clean your carb good, making shure you get all the junk out of the float.

Sticky or bad float needle. Could also be dirt in the gas tank getting past the gas filter or a saturated or leaky float. Pull the float bowl and turn the gas on and move the float up until the gas shuts off. If the flow of gas doesn't stop, remove the float and needle and clean or replace the needle. While the float is out, drop it in a bowl of gas. If it floats it's ok. If it sinks, replace it.
