Finally got my 2001 RM 125 but have a few questions.

The first ride round the woods went ok, but I find the clutch very hard to get used to on this.

I could not start quick at all!!

Also to disengage it it hits my other two fingers, this is because the clutch fully out is near to my hand how do i fix this with a new perch or lever?? My mates KTM clutch lever is heavy id like onw like that.

Also the fuel tap faces the engine is this right??

There is a dial near the exhaust on the cylinder is this the powervalve adjustment??

Also the DEP pipe is burning the bottom of the fuel tank does it just need repositioning??

Thanks
Apart from all that it was great, watched techniques of a champion and ryan hughes before I went out so I was trying to power through the slippery stuff etc.

Congrats

The "fuel tap" is put that way to keep your pant leg from catching on it - at least that's my best guess. . . By the way, it's called a fuel **** or petcock. LOL

Yes, I believe the dial is the powervalve adjustment.

Don't know about the pipe.

You can adjust the clutch on the perch and about 6-12 inches down the cable from the perch. The perch adjustment is like one on a bicycle brake and is for minor adjustments. The cable adjustment is for bigger adjustments.

Buy a factory manual for $20-25 and Eric Gorr's Motocross and Off Road Performance Handbook for $15-25. That should be about all you'd ever need for working on the bike. Links below . . .
