growl/grinding when letting clutch out

help/ideas appreciated. i have 2003 cr 250 and when i let the clutch out and begin moving forward from a standstill, there is a sound that startsoff and then goes away when i am up to speed (or i just cant hear it). Inspecting the clutch revealed the basket did have some notches, but the problem is I recently replaced the basket and inner hub about 6 months ago. The hub is fine . but the basket is notching. What causes this notching, a whobbly bearing? :bang:

All I can say is go over it with a magnifying glass. I had a similar problem in my 400 that baffled all of the experts. It turned out to be a small clip that was in the wrong place and giving me a lot of head aches.
