Hi, obviously as you can probably tell i am new to this site.
My name is Ashley and im 17 years old. I am currently living in the united kingdom but shall shortly be moving to Canada as we now have our visa's, just waiting for the house to sell, which seems to be proving harder then we first thought. Neway back to the point, i don't currently ride any bike though i have ridden my cousins motobikes several times, as i am moving to Canada and we are hopefully buying a house with some land i shall be purchasing a bike as and when we move. Im looking at something simple to start like the kawasaki kx80 or the 110. Also i am looking the the Honda cr85. So i thought i would join the forum to gain a bit of knowledge and to chat to other motocross/motobike users.
Sorry for the essay lol
Ash.

Welcome to DRN and I hope that the house sale goes well!
I also hope you like Tim Hortons ( sorry, joke on Canadians and their affinity for dough nuts ;) ) The last poster forgot to ask your weight and height before telling you what to get. My wife is... well lets just say most likely twice your age and rides a KLX 125. But she is 5'2" and it fits her and her riding. Do research in the what bike should I get forum and don't forget to give them the right info. I believe that the Womans forum has a sticky on top with a nice description of beginner bikes.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, Welcome to America

Hi Ashley,
First off, welcome to DRN! Where in Canada are you planning on moving to?

For a bike, depending on your height and weight, I'd recommend you look at a KLX125L or something similar. Starting on a two-stroke motocross bike probably isn't the best idea, and the KLX110 is too small, in my opinion.

And if you are a guy, let me apologize for the group, over here, Ashley is more commonly used as a girl's name; there are few men with it, I have only met one.
