hi, i need some info. just found this site on the web.
can you tell me anything about the 88 kdx 200.
anything seriously wrong with them ?.
got the chance to buy one, but dont want to buy a nail.
its only for use ads a bit of fun. are the engines reliable ?
how long do top ends last ?.
any mods you would make if you had this model ?.

anything i know about these bike is they are not watercooled.

I had an 89 200 and rode the heck out of it for 5 years before I sold it. Much like the 95 I have now, I had no real problems or complaints at all. I am sure if it is in good shape you couldn't go wrong.

I had one years ago.
Only real drama was the flywheel letting go and keeping the rear drum brakes performing.The thing used to hit hard in the engine department.
Other than that it was a very good bike.
I liked it that much I have been KDX ever since(1987)

dazza.....where did you get a replacement flywheel for your bike....i had the smae problem with an 85

Kawierider. I found a second hand one at a wreckers over here in Australia.
I believe they are hard to find.
Sorry I can't help you with a new one.
