It seems that in spite of the words to the wise on this board Holeshot is still ripping people off. A few months ago I had to return a part that I mis-ordered. My mistake but the parts manual shows a diagram of a MC with a number but in fact it is only the clamp section. Anyway I was prepared to eat the $16 in shipping (clutch MC rebuild kit and a MC lever clamp mind you) and the 25% restocking fee. When I returned the parts Candy tells me that I can get store credit. Fine. When I get ready to use up the credit she tells me I never returned the parts! Even when I reminded her that I spoke to her after she had the parts in her hand. She told me that she had no record that I ever ordered the parts and that I was full of s*&$t. I was shocked. When I sent her the invoice number she told me to get lost. When I called her she got mad and hung up the phone! Very unprofessional In the end Holeshot stole $109 + return shipping costs
All I can say is if you go there be prepared to get abused of by inflated handling charges and retail prices and real unfriendly service

Let KTM USA know about it. If more people would I think they would be able to weed this bottom feeder and his kid out. Can you imagine the dollar signs in his eyes when MCGrath signed with KTM?

I hope you do call KTM USA. I don't even own a KTM and I hate holeshot. I haven't heard a single good thing about them.. I have concluded that with so many people saying similar things about them at least one of them MUST be true.

Please call KTM and tell us what they say.

Wow, that is really bad. Unbelieveably bad!

I have had the best of luck with The Cycle Shed, in N. Vernon Indiana with my KTM needs. Shed is a great guy and a top-shelf mechanic/suspension man and his wife is a wiz on parts.
Good people.

I think BigLou has a good supplier in his area too. You may ask him who his guy is.

From what I've read here, I will NEVER utilize Holesquat's services.

flea -

wherever this holeshot place is, find the local chapter of the Better Business Buearo and file a complaint. also, the state attorny general should be notified. also, their local chamber of commerce.

this might be a pain in the ass but if you do all these things they will definitely feel the heat.

I think that you both are right. I checked the KTM USA website for an phone number or email address but all I could find was an address. Perhaps I'll write a letter unless anyone knows an email address
Thanks again

PS While we are flamming out on Holeshot I had a problem with an aftermarket seat I bought from them. when I called them about Candy just laughed when I said I installed it. In the end the aftermarket company (GUTS RACING) :thumb: took it back and replaced no questions asked. Seeing how well GUTS handled things illustrates just how bad Holeshot is

I just did a GOOGLE search on "holeshot". Man! I'll never do that again. Especially at work.

Where and What is holeshot? Is it a KTM dealer? What's the URL?

I'd just like to see what all of the hullabalou is about. ;)

I know there's nothing but negative feedback on Holeshot on this board, and I've pretty much bitten my tongue, but I have to say I've had great service from them. I have their number programmed in my cell phone and whenever I need anything I just call, tell them what I need, they have all my info and charge my card. Later that day I get an E-mail with the tracking number of the package and the next day it's in my hands. I had to call them and ask what was going on with this Flea she said you shaved the seat and that's why you couldn't return it to them. That seems to make since to me? Anyway, I'm not going to argue with everyone out here that hates HoleShot, I just wanted to say some positive things because usually you just hear the negative and there are two sides to every story. If they wronged me in any way, I would cease to do business with them, and if they actually stole money from me I would gather my proof and head to court. Good luck.

These type of threads only work when all views are considered. Please don't hold your tongue if you've received quality service. It is important for companies to see many of these type of complaints for what they are... a cross section of customer satisfaction / dissatisfaction. Otherwise the opinions here will just be cast aside as being a bunch of Internet weirdo's and honestly we are not all weird :)

Bill to set the matter straight I had no issue with holeshot on the seat other than the seat had a defect and holeshot was not helpful. As Candy knows, I resolved the mater with GUTS RACING who heard my issues and replaced the seat no problem. She brought the issue up with me too as it seems to be the only business record they have with me
The problem I have with holeshot was another order for a clutch MC and a rebuild kit, which I returned to Holeshot. When I called to place an order to use up the credit, Candy emphatically told me she had no record of the sale to me and that I was "full of s*#@t. I was totally surprised by her defensive tone and I asked her directly if she was accusing me of lying and she hung up. Weird. When I sent them the invoice information she said she did not recall receiving the parts back even though the last time I spoke to her she had the parts in hand.
My only point is they have occasionally been not helpful and now dishonest. For me I need to have some trust in vendors that work over the Internet particularly with record keeping. Candy said that she only had record of one sale to me when in fact I have made several purchases.
I think that I see what is happening there; If they can loose sales records they can easily loose credit records particularly when they are so clearly predisposed to getting all they can from their KTM customers. Just check the 50 odd other posts regarding their pricing
Hey if they want to settle up with me fine I'll be posting all over the place how they helped out.

Cyclezone kTm in Topeka, KS. Mike Kruger-Owner, DRN Member and DirtWeek sponsor. His ad banners are flyin' all over the place in here! www.cyclezone.com Mike will probably be the one who answers the phone when you call. Nothing but good things from me about czkTm. :)

I've never used holeshot, and I just don't think I ever will judging by the frequency of complaints against them. I've got too many great shops to spend my money at to even risk it with HS. JMHO.

I see where you mentioned the seat had a defect, but no mention as to whether or not you modified (or shaved) it.

I'll never use Holeshot either. I've seen too many negative comments here and other places.

I've always wondered how some places stay in business. I guess there's a never-ending supply of fresh victims.

I don't know... flea seems to have rubbed me the wrong way and I'd consider using Holeshot just to find out if they are that bad or if he's just one of those problem customers.

Judging from his reply to marcus I'm leaning towards the latter.

Hey everyone let’s reel this in, I realize it is the flame board, but the issues seem to have gotten confused.
Just to set the matter straight my seat purchase had nothing to do with my problem with Holeshot. In fact regarding the seat, I really expected (and received nothing) from Holeshot.
Again the problem I had with Holeshot was a completely different order (for clutch M/C parts). If anyone is really interested at this point please take a look at my posts above.
Marcus, certainly no intention to condescend from me I just did not to bore you (or anyone) by saying the same sorry thing again. So you are not “stirring anything up” at least as far as I am concerned. The seat did have a legitimate problem, I explained it to the GUTS (the manufacture and supplier to Holeshot) and they decided to offer to take it back and gave me a new one.
Ivan if you have any problem with my post (or me) feel free to comment at will or the PM
Thanks gentlemen

I think you saw what I felt I wanted you to see.

From the posts I have seen you seem to be just another whiner. If not, your future posts will show it. Otherwise I only have the posts I have seen thus far to go on.

Sorry if someone you never met takes your written word and feels your a whiner but I think you'll get over it. If not, I don't really care :)

Ivan This is the flame board. If I am not mistaken this is the place where whiners whine. Beyond that I don’t see where this post has anything to do with you or your bizarre self-absorbed agenda.
If you have something to say to me personally please use the PM.
PS If it is more of your puerile name calling don’t waist my time :moon:

seat not withstanding...............someone making off with $109 dollars worth of returned parts is not a good thing. then denying that the sale ever happened even with an invoice? unfortunately there are placed out there that somehow get away with it. come to think of it ive never had somebody tell me that i didnt buy parts and tell me that im full of @@$t either. oh wait, my ex wife used to do that.

back to the seat.........so what if it was shaved. maybe something else besides the foam was bad.

i got into one bad internet deal with a truck outfitter. it sucked big time. i went to my credit card company and they reversed charges. the key to making it happen was to make sure the stuff was sent back registered so i had proof that i didnt have it. took three months to get it straight but in the end it worked out. i was overcharged for items and they were the wrong color and the items came 6 weeks after purchase.

the bad thing with internet biz is that often the offenders are too far away to deal with. hanging up on you is easier than seeing the face across the counter.

If you paid for the parts with your credit card like tx246 says then you can prove that holeshot originally sold you the parts then contact your credit card company and get them to do a charge back on them. I f you do this for the full amount then you won't have to pay the 25% restocking fee.
