How to copy/paste thread id??

Hi everyone,
I would like to be able to paste the link to an older post but I've had no success up to now. What I've tried was to use SEARCH and once I found the thread I want, I copy/paste the address in the post that I'm writing. My problem is that when I look at my post once it is made, if I click on the link, it will open a window and say error ...:(

Click the "E-mail this page to someone" icon (upper right on the screen) and do a cut & paste with the link that is generated in the message :D
