I keep seeing pictures where you guys are removing the metal at the end of the spark plug in order to see the ceramic color. I was wondering what is the easiest way to do this, if there is one?

The first method that come to mind would be to use a Dremel with a cut off wheel or and air powered cut off tool. Just be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves. The use of a vise to clamp the plug in while you are working on it will help to steady it and will save your fingers. I hope this helps.

The easiest way to do it is on a lathe.

If you can find a nut to match the thread on the plug, put the nut in a vice and overtighten the plug in the nut. It will shear off pretty easily at the base of the thread.

OK, that sounds like it would be the easiest way to do it. Thanks for the input!
