Just realized I'd been lurking and occasionally posting since the end of last year without putting my head in here for an introduction. I've been riding motorcycles since age 10, and am now 30. I took a 5 year hiatus from the sport in my early twenties, before getting back into motocross and streetbikes. I've owned some varied street and dirt machines over the years, mostly two-strokes, including; Bultaco 250MX, Yam TZR125, DT50, DT125, YZ125, RD250, Suz RGV250, TS250, Kaw Z200, KL100. I currently own/ride a 2003 CR250R and a 1997 CBR1100XX. I am destined to be the eternal novice, but enjoy motocross more than just about anything else in life. As I get older I don't get much faster, but I do become more difficult to pass.

As a British ex-pat now living in Colorado, I enjoy mountain life but find the riding season is six months too short. Snowboarding and skiing keep me occupied in the winter. I'm also an avid car enthusiast and own the forums at www.scoobytech.net in addition to administrating the forums at www.clubwrx.net In my other life, I'm a software engineer. I'd rather being doing something else, but it keeps food on the table and dirtbikes in the garage.

My only gripe with the sport today is the perpetuation of the four-stroke bandwagon. Such is life. My ring-ding is good for a few more years, by which time my beaten body will likely have me envying four stroke pilots.

Cheers.

Welcome to the site

As you have already probably found out, we have a few Brits and Ex-Pat Brits here on the site.

Check out the Team DRN Mile High Chapter forum (if you haven't found it already) for some opportunities to ride with fellow DRNers.

For a longer riding season you might consider moving to Texas. We ride year 'round. :yeehaw:

Texas eh? Dang.. I have problems when the ambient temps get over 85. Remember I was raised on grey skies and drizzle. ;)

Cheers!
