We were thinking about exploring the Hahn's Peak trail system somewhere near Steamboat Springs, CO. Has anybody ridden there? What are the trails like? Is it worth exploring?

I rode this for the first time last year. It was fantastic. I'd highly recommend it. We rode with someone who knew his way around that trail system. So he was taking us all over the place. I'd get lost if I was on my own. The best part was the single track through the aspens. Miles and miles of it. Sorry, but I can't give you any trail directions. I'd say the majority is blue/moderate riding.

Jen,

There is some great riding up there. Lots of single track, plenty of ATV track as well. Make sure you see the "blowdown" it's amazing!

Got chased by a sheep dog guarding his flock last year. Lots of rocky areas and neat aspen groves.

E-mail Doug. He went back up over 4th of July. So it should be fresh in his mind. (Before 8/11 as he's going to South Dakota)

Call or mail me if you want more info.
