Perfect. Good work you guys, that thing is sweet. When I can't afford a new bike again next year... I know what I'm going to do to the piglet :)

You found your gift...

Dude, it's time to stop stress-testing furniture with your generous hind end and start restoring dirtbikes for fellow riders. I think there'd be more than a few willing to fork over some cash to have their favorite ride renewed. Me, if I had a bike that I loved that was a little long in the tooth, but didn't have the dough to fork over for a new one this is what I'd want to do. But homies like me just don't have the skills, patience or resources.

Those gears have been turning in my head ever since I realized this was going to turn out as well as it did. I'm thinking real hard about this.:)

And when your done with VD's Maico (coolness incarnate I might add) I have a 72 Penton Berkshire and a 74 Elsinore that could use some sprucing up.........

You can re-chrome I hope!

BTW, awsome job. Kind of takes me back to the YZ I was riding at the moment of the "Great Crash of '78 at Oak Hill MX.............................

Jim, I feel I must warn you that there is nothing inside those cases other than severly abused and mangled metal remains.

The only problem is, if Lou quits his job, he loses a lot of his resources.

Thunder - I wanted to paint the frame so bad it was painful. However I rode this bike every weekend and couldn't find the time to strip it down. Unfortunately the bike is now back to blue, gave the yellow plastic to my friend and now I ride a red bike! Geez, I'm confused.

Lou - Your bike looks awesome!!!!

Make sure you take a picture of it when you're done riding it for the first time. It would be cool to see the old-bike/new-bike-clean/new-bike-dirty comparison.
