Does anyone have an idea how the horsepower of the KTM 450 and the Husky 450 match up? A friend is telling me that a stock Husky has 60+ horsepower and I am having a hard time believing that. Maybe the 610 version, but even that seems pretty high. I believe the KTM is in the low to mid 40's.

The Husky looks pretty nice!

According to Akrapovic's website, the TE570 puts out about 51hp in stock form. With just a pipe, it peaks at 57.

Realistically, the new 450's are all close to 50hp but not quite. This includes the YZF, CRF and KTM. The Husky will probably be right in the hunt with the others.

Nobody has seen one yet, or dyno'd one. Last I heard, they hadn't started production of them yet but were due to begin this week.

Per the Dyno charts at the FMF web site, all the 4-stroke 450s they tested (Yam. Hon, KTM) peak around 42 to 45.

All the 610's I have seen run on my friends dyno are mid 40's.
You still can't get a twin cam 450 husky so all you are going to be able to buy is a orange bike.
Tales of +60rwhp 4st singles are usualy just that.
Alot of poeple assume claims to be the truth and repeat unsubstantiated #'s.
Ther is a lot of ego connected to hp #'s too, I normally use a fator of -20% to get real #'s form peoples claims.
