Has anybody here ever ridden a husky wr250?I have seen a few for sale ,though they are quite uncommon around here.

Are they a good bike? Are they more of a racing bike like the older yamaha wr's or more of a calm trail bike like a tt-r?Are they 2-strokes,4-strokes or both?

And how do they compare to the yamaha wr's?(especially the older ones)? Are they as heavy, bulky and difficult to handle? And how about the power?
Thanks all

The Husky WR250's are offroad race bikes. They are also considered to be TALL. Also, 2 strokes. The newer ones have close ratio 5 speed tranny's.

The '98 won't sit as high as current models and may be closer to the '94 WR is seat height. Probably a few less pounds but its an overbuilt motor so its got some weight to it. Its actually pretty much the same motor as the current models. Good low end power compared to a motox bike. It'll have a wide ratio 6 speed tranny too.
