Just Kidding!! Although this pic makes it look like motocross for the kids on the short bus, its really pretty fast. I watched a race on speedvision just a couple days ago, and it looked like it would be a blast, although I can't see a modified dirt bike handling anywhere near what a stock street bike would.

There are a lot of street riders who ride the Kenilworth Ravines outside of Chicago who felt that way too until me and my XR660 showed them the error of their ways ;)

Did I mention how painfully slow and clumsy I am? Here's a picture of me pushing my bike from the pits to the start line.
Whataya think? Do I have what it takes?

Lou, I am impressed!
How many years did you practice a low flying table top superman like that.
I assume you went from that trick straight to a wheelie. :debil:

Mike I've only seen it in small scattered chunks on Speedvison's Motorsport Mondial on Fridays.

Umm Okie once posted a vid of one of my best highsides..
I think it was good enough, and I'll NOT practice it anymore? LOL

Jay!
On the 2 stroke 4 stroke thing in mini motard-
The guys running that series told me i could race my CR80..
if i wanted too---although it wouldnt be very competitive?
kinda snickered at me even for wanting too..or for asking....
and kind of sarcasticlly said:
"good luck, its all in corner speed"

;)

On the super motard name...
I'm sure its root is Europeon.
There are quite a few great euro super motard or super motech websites.

If I were going to "Motard" my KLX, am I correct in assuming that all I need is an 18 in. front wheel and street tires. That almost seems to easy.:think

That's not really fair...I have it on good authority that those were other than stock grips on that TTR-125. AND it was the L-MODEL!!

You moderators want to let us normal people in on how HLG got whipped by AJ on a ttr125L? Was HLG riding AJ's CR500AF?

No he was on his CR250

I think to have equal horespower to weight ratios between us he would have to be on the CR500AF though :)

It was at the DirtWeek 00 / Midwest Spodefest '00...there were *plenty* of witnesses. As I previously stated, AJ was using non-standard grips. From my vantage point I could see that the right grip was kept in a fully backward-twisted position while mine was rarely (if ever) in that position.

The funny part was...

I got behind him on the GP track and was impressed at how much speed he was carying through the turns...so much that I could just barely keep up by catching up in the straights. I kept telling myself, "Wait till we get to that long downhill section...I'll easily pass him there."

When we made the turn at the top of the hill, he pulled off and left me like an ugly child at the mall. I literally looked at my throttle to try and figure out how he could have pulled away from me on a straight. The sad truth is that everyone can be a hero going uphill and use full throttle, but few people actually use full throttle downhill...or on flat ground...or in turns..or coming into turns... :ugg:

LOL Gomer

Since its a pretty long downhill -that was the ONLY straightaway
I had any chance of pulling you on.
In all fairness it should be noted Gomer was indeed holding back in other places of the track thinking that the real long downhill section of the track he would really pull away..
Thing is the lil TTR-L with 9 hp could actually accellerate a lil with all the help from gravity...lol
The other thing is I ride there often and can go down that hill/straightaway in 4th and 5th pinned on a 500AF.
So pinned in top gear on the TTR wasnt even close to scary ;)

We had a great 5 laps or so..and it was a blast :)

Many of us have been embarrased by AJ antics on the TTR. OT was the only one who came up with an appropriate solution, he rammed AJ with the brush guard on his Raptor. :scream:

As for me I just wait till AJ comes around to lap me then I crash in front if him. That always shows him whose boss

Rich!
Bahahaha that was wild....!!!

I remember thinking after dicing a bit back and forth and passing OT....
well i'll just take the inside line on this next corner there isnt room for him to get the qua.d around no matter if i just putt thru it....
KABAM !!!
whoa! OT rams me!! LOL
On a bike i would have totally expected it -
but I really dint think he would ram me while i'm on the TTR and with him on a raptor ..
It was just a love tap..he could have laid me out pretty easy ..LOL
funny stuff :)

I think OT needs to join us in the mini motard class.. :)
i wonder if those guys are used to passive no bump style riders ? ;)
