idle problem

i finally got my bike back together! 96 rm 250 eric gorr big bore job, boyseen rad valve,fmf gnarly and a shorty silencer. plus i got all new polisport plastics. this thing looks great and is a beast on the bottom end.just wont idle the carb only has 1 screw i think its the air mix.i cant get enough adjustment out of the cable. any help?

Picture? The carb should have two screws. Idle screw and air screw.

i dtid a little more research and found an old thread on here that explained it is a nut just under the choke i just went out to check and what did i see just below the coke IDLE plain as day stamped in the carb!

yeah, a few of them older carbs are like that. Crappy design IMO, but it works!
