IMS oversize tank question for RM

Ok I have a chance to get a IMS 3.4Gal tank cheap. The tank is off a 2002 RM250 I have a 2001 RM125. The guy says it will fit either. Is that true???
I looked at IMS site and they are the same as far as 3.4gal for both, and the years on the site say 01-06. but no item number to compare.

So anyone know for sure 100% if it fits both?

If not anyone got one F/S?

It fits but I think you need a different petcock......the stock one's outlet points down, (what's on your stock tank) and is too close to the case on a 125 (putting a kink in the fuel line)..........you need one that points rearward. I used a Yamaha Banshee petcock.........bolts right up and has a reserve option.

stock petcock will work but you will have a curve up and then don or you could install a 90o elbow <-----cheaper than a petcock
