Inlet Spacer

I want to make on inlet spacer with aluminum 5mm plate to gain a little more bottom end. Question is do I put it between the cylinder and reed block or the reed block and the rubber inlet?

Cylinder and reed block. It spaces the reeds back from the engine and effectivly increases the crankcase volume.
