You can use automatic transmission fluid, 80w gear oil, 10w 30 motor oil (without friction modifiers!). There's a blue million opinions on this. Best is to use what works best for you and your bike. I have heard that fuel stabilizer does work in premix. Some use it for winterizing.
The manual for the 2006 (last year the KDX200 was made) calls for 10W-30 or 10W-40 (your choice) motor oil. I use motorcycle motor oil (synthetic blend) in 10W-40 viscosity.
Motorcycle motor oil has additives for use in gearboxes, so it's better in this application than automotive motor oil.
