My silencer endcap keeps letting oil drip down the entire back of the silencer. If I were to take it off, would there be a metal pipe sticking out? Also, would there be a sound increase?
You are going to have to work on your jetting to get rid of the spooge on the pipe. Right now you are probably running to rich and the unburned/ excess fuel/oil is running out the pipe.
To answer your question do not run without the silencer intact
