kdx/kx fork conversion

i'm thinking of buying a 99 kdx220 which has been modified with kx125 inverted forks.the bike is running a stock rear shock.

just wondering if this mod has been done before and will i have to revalve the rear shock.

the bike will also be doing some mx tracks aswell

any ideas?

You'll want to either have the forks lowered internally to match the original over all height of the stock forks or raise the rear end of the bike. The most common way seems to be installing new dog bones but there are other methods as well. This will help insure the suspension remains balanced front to rear.
