I pulled this off the district board this morning, I would double check with the rangers before you go.
It is possible that this is BS, posted to the board by some enviro nut, but none thee less check it out before you go just in case
The ranger in charge of trails up on the Kern plateau, asked me to spread the word that..... ALL OF THE TRAILS on the kern plateau AKA Kennedy Meadows WILL BE CLOSED THROUGH MEMORIAL DAY
The ranger staff up there will be spending all weekend telling people to not even unload their dirt bikes.
thanks for your cooperation ,
riding around the snow pack causes environmental damage and we don't want that obviously
there is still 3-4 feet of snow on the lower trails and 6-7 with deeper drifts on the upper trails but it is fast melting.
