I Have a 1999 KTM 380 EXC & stock lighting coil produces 40 watts.
I would like to have some where around 100 watts to run brighter lights an blinkers, horn, ect. I have been told the stock stator cant be rewound to get the needed wattage. My big question is can I update to 2001 EXC with 110 watt stator and if so will I need to get the newer flywheel and CDI or ?. Or who could I contact to get a straight answer. I would appreciate any feedback.
