How would you compare the KTM bottom end torque against a KDX220. This is my first dirt bike purchase and I want the ability to lug around some of the difficult terrain. I can pick up a used 01' KTM for the same price as a new 02' KDX 220.
The KDX had better power at the very very bottom and was tough to stall at slow speeds. From what I have heard the 220 has even more low end grunt than the 200.
However the KTM delivers significantly more power in the low/mid to mid range and noticeably more on the top end.
Overall the KDX will deliver less power, more smoothly than the KTM.
Even though it is easier to stall I prefer the KTM power delivery .
