orite can you help me my ktm 525 dosent start unless i bump it and when it starts it backfires and then cuts out does anyone no whats wrong

it could be posible that the carb is out of adjustment, get your manual out and reset to the factory settings. hope that helps.

Poor spark
Spark happens at the wrong time.
Poor air/fuel mixture.
Poor compression.

Start with the basics. Measure your compression and make sure your top end isn't toast. Clean the carburetor. Make sure there are no air leaks.

Beyond that, if you gave us a little more background we might be able to help you. For example, did you just get this bike? If you have had it a while, when did it the problem start? What happend just before this problem began?
