kx 125 96 --5 gears or 6?!

i have a kx 125 1996 and have on the gear 5 gear
today i looked at the bike's general specifications it say's that a 96 kx 125 has a gearbox with 6 gears... :ohmy:
what the ****?! :bang:

According to the www.buykawasaki.com website, the 1996 KX125 is in fact a 6-speed. I would suggest that you enter the VIN of the bike into that site to determine what year your bike really is.

The engine VIN range for that year starts with KX125KE0000O1 and the frame VIN starts with KAKXRK1
