I`m on stripping down my KX 250 its a 1991 and I`m having big trouble getting the long bolt which hold the swinging arm and engine to the frame. There is a nut on one end and the bolt head on the other. I`ve got the nut off and the shaft turns ok with a spanner, however it just will not knock through. Are there any tricks to this ? or have I just missed something as I can`t see any circlips or something else to hold it in place.

Many thanks even you just read this.
Phil.

Its probably stuck to a bearing or two. A long extension and a dead blow hammer should do the trick. You'll need to order new bearings as all the needles or pins (or whatever their called) will probably fall out.

I had the same problem on my Honda a few months ago. I juiced it up with WD-40 and let it set overnight. I mashed it with a big hammer and a brass drift and it came right out.

Thats great, thanks for the help. I`ll give it a good soaking with some WD40 and get myself a bigger hammer. Thanks again to everyone.
