Been searching, seen the answer some where here.. :clue: Want to install my black Excel kdx front wheel on the KX hub..I think the kdx wheel spoke holes need to be drilled out larger? Any help would be appreciated...Thanks
The OEM KDX wheel does need to have the holes modified to fit aftermarket nipples I've used.
But, you have an Excel wheel. Did you use the KDX OEM nipples? That certainly didn't work for me.
The spokes are the same diameter (on my setup anyway, comparing KX to KDX) and nipple thread pitch (I've used OEM nipples with aftermarket spokes with no hole mod AND aftermarket nipples on a KDX wheel after some modification to the KDX wheel).
I've not seen a gazillion Excel rims, but I've not seen one that fit OEM KDX nipples.
