I am very interested in buying a KXF 450 , I understand that there is more maintenance etc , but one thing I have heard from a Kawasaki dealer is that the timing chain has to be replaced every 8 hours or so . I got a copy of the Maintenance schedule for this bike , out the workshop manual and it does not mention anything about changing the timing chain . Can someone please clarify .
Also for weekend riding not racing , where the maintenance frequency is say 15hrs , could you do this at 30 hrs and would it be sufficient ?
I would probably only be getting the 2007 model as we dont have stock left in South Africa .
