LaRocco, Windham and Wey all out for Glen Helen

With props to our favorite online media baron Steve Bruhn, the report out of Glen Helen is that three top ten 250cc riders are now listed as out for the first round of the 2002 AMA/Chevy Trucks U.S. National MX Championships. Amsoil/Dr. Martens/Factory Connection Honda rider Mike LaRocco, who broke his wrist back in February at the Minneapolis SX, tried to ride with an All-Sport Dynamics wrist brace, but the swelling was too much after practice and he decided to sit out the race. Team SoBe Suzuki's Kevin Windham had hoped to return, but he's still not fully recovered from that broken leg he suffered back in February at the Atlanta SX, one week after LaRocco's crash. And Moto XXX Yamaha's Nick Wey, the top privateer on the 2002 AMA/EA Sports Supercross Series, aggravated a previous knee injury and will now sit out on Sunday. Thanks again to TFS for the info!
