It's one, if not the oldest MC club in America. Founded in 1934 and moved to a new location in 1953, this black land dirt plays host to some of the best Flat Track racing in these parts. The MX track is a different story. Due to the fact that it's black land, the track is very difficult to prep. In fact it almost better to not do anything to it but smooth down some of the ruts that get created after riding on it when it's wet. Gotta say though we had a fella that was pretty handy with a tractor and built the track into a real nice one with every type of obstical one would expect to find at the best tracks. As with all things, nothing lasts forever. The guy that built the track is on the run from the IRS I hear which brings me to my point of topic. Since we are a private, non profit club, when maintnence time rolled around, one of the club members voluenteerd (for a nominal fee) to do the work. He has taken upon himeself to go beyond what was asked, to simply do a little smoothing and fill in the holes, to knock down the jumps. There isn't anything left that can't be hit in 5th gear wfo and still not get 5" of air. Everyone is so upset.

Sounds like my kind of track.

Me too. :thumb:

Now just go and plant some trees and it'll be some good riding.

You guys need to head to Burleson the 2nd or 4th Sunday. I'm telling you Okie, you'll love this place. PERFECT DIRT! Every jump is a single with a turn right after it and one tabletop. Has a small whoop section that is so easy and a rythym section that's no more than 1' high. The over 40 class has got to be the fastest guys in the country, they make the others look like posers. I can see Bob railing the BIG right hand sweeper in 3rd gear shooting a roost into the face of everyone behind him, that is if Thump can make it out

Green Horn, it'll take you about 2 1/2 hours to be on the track from RR. Bob, you better drive up the night before. Burleson is just a few miles south of Fort Worth on I35W. Take the Alsbury exit. Practice at 8, races @ 9
