OK here is my situation. I am 6'7" and weigh 255 lbs. I am by no means fat at all. I have a 38" waist. So I bought a size 40 AXO T1 pants and here is the trouble..the waist is big but OK but the thigh area..... is skin huggers.....everything else about the fit is OK.

So now the question who makes roomy pants in the thigh area? If I goto a bigger waist the thighs might fit but the waist will be way to big...

Any help would be great,.

Call Fox and ask for the Carmichael cut, I just read that they have to give him a little extra thigh space. Most pants that I have seen have about 2 inches of adjustment in the waist buckle so going up on size shouldn't be a huge problem, you'll just have a big legged bodybuilder cinch at the waist. If you are fortunate enough to have a nearby dealer that carries multiple brands (mine tend to have a favorite), wear a pair of shorts in and try some on.

I think that I am just going to order several styles and see which fits the best. It sucks because even buying jeans and shorts I have to go up sometimes 2-3 waist sizes to get room for my thighs. The thing that really sucks is that I really do not have any weight to loose I am at 10% body fat right now. :( I guess that I have hit the weights too much.

Try oneal element pants or Moose off road. These two companies seem to care more about riders bigger than an 155 to 180 lbs. average rider. You might have to go with a bigger waist size to properly fit comfotably in the thigh area. If you do do this, then all you would need to do is find a mens clothing tailor to bring the extra inches in the waist. Small price to pay, but worth the comfort.

I'll second the Moose or Sinsalo brand (pretty much the same). You might also give the freestyle pants a try. I started using them a few years ago for a dual purpose ride in CO, and havent used anything else since. keeps the water out of the boots, and is usually a little bigger \ looser fit all around. Nice to have pockets as well. I have used the AXO, Troy Lee designs, and more recently Thor pants. All good, but the second two are better than the axo.

If I were 6' 7" I would ride naked. I would wait for the first person to laugh at me and beat the hell out of them.

The O Neil pants are sized a bit larger than average. they allow room for knee braces and such.

Ever try some freestyle riding pants? I know my LBZ pants are sized much bigger. However they are over the boot style and just for that "freestyle riding" or I wear them for weekend riding too...
