I can't believe you hadn't heard of this before, Okie! My painter buddy buys the stuff in case-lots, so that speaks volumes to me. :D I'm sure most of the painter/body men on the boards will agree with me.

sounds like some cool stuff, I've been using maguire's quick wax on my truck and it turns out pretty well, but I'd like something that will last better than this stuff.

I used LG back in my VW show days, but I thought the stuff had been discontinued. I found Zymol and Wax Shop products back in the early nineties, and never even looked for LG again. I'll see if I can find it. It was good stuff back then.

No, there a "clay" kits that pull the comtaminents out of the paint. It's literally a chucnk of clay that you rub over the surface. Here is a link for more info. http://www.properautocare.com/usclaybartor.html

Yep, I have been using the liquid glass for 10 years now. Actually, the whole family uses it and wont buy anything else. You are right about the deep shine that it gives, I usually wax both of my cars and the jet ski monthly. It works so well, you usually end up sounding like an infomercial when telling your friends about it. My friend even uses it on his hot tub.
Well today is bike day, took off from work to wash the bikes and get the YZ ready to race this weekend. Washed the Harley this morning and waxed it w/ the "Liquid Glass", Man, this is the stuff, I have never had the bike looking sooo good. Thanks Okie ! ;) Here it is sitting in the sun baking. The pics do not do this product justice, the shine that comes off the paint is unreal, even rubed out some of the chrome, WOW. Need to be wearing these :cool:

(Sorry, needed an excuse to post another pic... sides of the truck have 3 coats now. The hood has not been done, pic doesn't do it justice, there is a BIG difference in depth and shine.

Best window cleaning method I've found: Windex and newspaper! For whatever reason, Windex really does the best job and newspaper can't be beat for a streak-free finish. Try it (newspaper) if you haven't. I thought it was nuts when I first heard about it, but it works the best.

I have been able to get rid of water spots with a small amount of lime away. Be very sure to rinse extremely well. You are right about getting the windows clean - then use RainX to keep water spots away. The water just runs away from that stuff.

Bon Ami is the absolute best for getting water spots off of glass. I got the tip from the old "Shade Tree Mechanic" show. Use a sponge, water, and Bon Ami then rinse with water. What ever you do, don't, I mean do NOT, use Comet or Ajax. Only Bon Ami will do the job without scratching the glass.
My wife makes me clean the shower doors with Bon Ami :whiner:

By the way, Liquid Glass worked great. I was up at 6am Saturday morning washing the truck and polishing. Worked so good I washed my wife's car and polished as well. Whew...2 washings and 2 polishings in the same day makes for a sore back. Good workout on the arms for sure.

Just used Liquid Glass on my white 6x12 enclosed trailer. The trailer is only about 1.5 years old, but was starting to oxidize, along with some of those light gray aluminum streak stains running down the sides. The front of the trailer is a v-nose, and was full of cement-like bug guts all over it.
After washing thoroughly, used the Liquid Glass pre-cleaner. Used about half of the 8oz bottle to do the whole trailer. Could not find any retail locations that carried it (although plenty carry the Liquid Glass polish), so had to order 3 bottles direct (http://www.autochic.com/).
I couldn't believe how well the surface came out just from using the pre-cleaner. It was smooth and shiny like glass, almost like it was just waxed.
I then put on 2 coats of the polisher, and the finish is absolutely amazing. Removed 95% of the gray streaking, and overall it has an incredibly smooth, deep gloss.
Next up is the 4 Runner and the wife's minivan.... I'll probably also take off the plastic on the new bike when I get it, and do that as well.
