I am looking at putting my 15 year son old onto a "full size" bike as he is quickly outgrowing his 01 TTR125. We are seriously looking at mid-late 90's as restoration is part of the fun.
Our plan will be to instal a set of Kouba Links (dog bones?) on the rear Uni-Trac and will drop the forks hopefully to match. Last, the seat foam will have to be reduced. Why? the TTR seat height is about 28" whereas the KDX stands about 36". My question: how low can I go? The kid is about 5'-5" and I will return the height as he grows into it. Who has lowerd their KDX with the Kouba links and what was the result?
