I'm considering buying a KTM450 for trail riding and Enduros. What are the main differences between these two bikes? I live in CA. Are they both green stickered? Do both come with the magic button? Is the button really worth the extra weight?

Any opinions or knowledgable advise regarding KTM is appreciated...

A really big difference.... 450XC has SX derived short stroke engine (95x63.4) for faster reving. 450EXC has long stroke(89x72) for more lugging ability. This gives the bikes two different characters.

EXC = enduro bike
XC = MX bike tamed down for cross country racing, still useful for MX (at least at sub-expert levels for play riding)

I think the XC is more fun, love mine! For me, the button is worth the extra weight off-road, esp. when you stall during a race.
