Ok, well I am wondering if my 02 RM gas tank will be ok forthe days ride, roughly 2 gallons, are we looking at 30 miles or so or what? May be tight for me making it now, but am planing on it. I will be in my little tent, and dump truck.(my s-10 for moto events). What if I get there mid day on friday? Just need some advice on the scenrio. Thanks again...
There is gas in Frederic, about 5 miles East of the trail where it crosses Cameron Bridge Road. There is gas at Starvation Lake, and also at Manistee Lake.
There is also food at each of those locations as well.
You can find those places on the Kalkaska Loop Trail Map.
I'm back from an awsome day of riding. Perfect weather, great traction, and not as much traffic as expected... I think we rode roughly 50 miles of trail with some good hill climbing action!
What a great ride!!! I counted 15 riders in Kalkaska (and three stayed at the clubgrounds to ride). The weather was perfect and the traffic on a holiday weekend was not too bad (except for the @#$%^&^%$%) !
Most of us went back the LMC clubgrounds for some bench racing and food. It was great to see everyone. We will have to do it again - SOON!!
It was a great weekend in the north woods.
